Phulia, a small town, in the district Nadia of West Bengal is famous for the Tangail variety of Taant. It is a pure cotton sari. The sari is hand woven. It is fine in texture. It has figured motifs on a semi transparent plain background, with designs of extra warp (length) in borders and extra weft (width) in the body portion which is produced with the help of jacquard for lifting the threads. 
These are light weight saris and offer great comfort in the summer season. These saris have been starched. They can be worn without starch too depending on one’s personal preference.
 
These saris do not come with a blouse of their own. We have paired them with hand painted blouse pieces. The blouses depict Goddess Durga in various ways. They are unstitched pieces in good quality rubia material. They are versatile and can be worn with other saris too or stitched as a top.
