At 40nchic we design not just a garment but a perception of beauty and style that transcends all ages and body types. Through our "concept store" we encourage ladies to define their style quotient, give wings to that fashionista in them and make a statement.
Above all 40nchic believes in fashion that is versatile, affordable and conscious. You will find clothes that suit every palate and pocket in our store.
Brand Story
40nchic is a home grown label started by me, Vidisha Pal. The love for textiles, different art forms and handwork is ingrained. It began with my mother, Uttora Ratna's, own enterprise which was named Style. Growing up I saw a workshop run from our house with more than a dozen skilled craftsmen working under her. The ready to wear classy ensembles were extremely popular at a time when the country didn't know anything about what 'readymade' meant.
Alongside this, my father, Ranjit Ratan's innovative venture in the 80's, which was a fast food joint on a modified mobile truck, was a rage. After which came a flourishing multi cuisine restaurant.
I was fortunate to have learnt a lot from both my parents. I hope 40nchic lives up to the legacy created by them and is also an inspiration to all entrepreneurs who choose to give flight to their dreams... leaving behind footprints on the sands of time for others to cherish and learn from.
Our Speciality
With a country so vast as ours ,each region developed it's own styles of yarn processing, weaving, dyeing, printing and embroidery. Art forms are deeply connected to the cultural heritage of the location, drawing its uniqueness from it. It's native to us and we at 40nchic enhance and promote everything indigenous.
Indian traditional wear is close to our heart because in our country the fabric, clothes and colours were designed keeping in mind our climatic conditions, traditions and cultural affinity.
But keeping in mind the growing needs of our modern lifestyles we have forayed into the world of Indo Western wear with our chic designs which are extremely versatile.
Most importantly our designs are an inspiration from the sheer Desi ethos which we have grown up in and so deeply cherish.
