Chanderi a town of historical importance is located in Madhya Pradesh. Apart from it's quaint forts and hills ,it is famous for hand woven cotton silk sarees and dress materials, known by the same name.
The word chanderi has become synonymous with the material cotton-silk. One can get handblock printed materials on cotton silk in other parts of the country too but somehow all are popularly known as Chanderi itself.
The percentage of silk used along with cotton in the material varies. The traditional techniques of printing and dyes used also vary.
This handblock printed cotton silk dupatta is sourced from Rajasthan. It is a beautiful combination on a shade of pista green. The floral print gives it a summery vibe. It can be paired with a variety of colours or used as a stole. It is light weight and easy to carry.
