Dhonekhali saris are named after the place , Dhonekhali, in Hoogly district of West Bengal.  They can easily be distinguished by the presence of “Khejur chori” design thread , a design created by the arrangement of weft threads of twisted cotton yarns in two colours. One will find it in the “pallu” portion of the sari.

These are handloom saris in soft cotton. One may wear them thus or starch them according to one’s preference.

These saris do not have a blouse of their own. We have paired them with hand embroidered kantha stitch  blouses in cotton.
